Systems that move data
I work on data infrastructure — ingestion pipelines, ELT connectors, and the internal platforms built around them. Mostly Python and TypeScript, on FastAPI and Django, against Postgres.
Most of what I know about distributed systems came from watching them fail in ways the documentation did not cover: a binlog that rotated mid-read, a schema that gained a column overnight, a CDC cursor that advanced past rows it never delivered. The interesting part of ingestion is never the happy path.
So I build for the unhappy one. Systems that fail loudly, interfaces that are honest about what they do not know, and code the next person can read at 2am.
Outside work: lifting, cars, and an ongoing and probably unreasonable interest in mechanical watches.

Backend and platform work across the public web surface and three internal products. Shipped a hiring platform solo from an empty repository, a four-app internal platform on FastAPI, and an agent-driven toolkit for building new ELT connectors.

Connector engineering and production pipeline debugging across MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, Redshift, Aurora, Snowflake and HubSpot. Subject-matter engineer for the REST API, Webhooks, Oracle and MySQL connectors. Built an internal documentation service in Node.js and MongoDB.
